In September of 2024, Rob Reiter from the storefront Safety Initiative presented the Award of Merit to Learning Care Group, a national provider of early childhood education at over 1000 privately operated schools in more than 40 states. Rob has been working with Learning Care Group for 4 years, helping with site assessments and with setting up a risk scale of all properties for the sole purpose of preventing vehicle-into-building crashes and protecting students and staff in classrooms, playgrounds and other campus areas.
It was a great pleasure to give an award to a client that had done something so newsworthy and of such importance WITHOUT having been ordered to by a court or charmed into doing so because of some series of injury storefront crashes at their schools. This was a proactive effort to avoid such incidents going forward.
In handing the award to CEO Mark Bierley, Rob stated, “Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is looking and Learning Care Group has done the right thing, for the right reasons, in the right way. I want to thank LCG for having the courage and foresight to spend money, time, and resources to protect their teachers, students, and parents.”
